Our Origin

Welcome to IMX Studio

formerly known as I AM Exclusv Studio.
Located inside ArtHaus Works in Oakland, CA,
the brand was born in 2018 and officially opened its doors on March 1st, 2024.

This studio began as a dream long before it became a space, one that took years to find its courage, until something reminded us that time is never promised. Every human being is singular, existing only once, in a moment that will never come again.

Every image and every conversation we capture is a point of reflection, a memory preserved, and a reminder to hold yourself in the same regard you deserve.

The name IMX descends from “I AM Exclusive” rooted in the affirmation I am that, I am,

the world within, radiating outward. Every session at IMX Studio is crafted to reflect that truth back to you.

Designed With Intention

Every detail in this room was chosen, not defaulted to.
Designed in collaboration with Italian architect Cecilia L. Egidi,

IMX Studio draws its inspiration from the quiet confidence of luxury design, modern minimalism, and contrast, an Italian sensibility, softened by the Japanese philosophy of Wabi-Sabi, and translated through a distinctly Western, modern lens.

The result is a space that feels less like a studio, and more like a sanctuary, calm enough to quiet the noise of the outside world, and safe enough to create without hesitation.

This is where that intention lives most visibly: the backdrop behind our Signature Series. A black background, chosen for its restraint, and its refusal to compete with what matters most, you.

It's a small detail with a large philosophy behind it, that the best spaces, like the best portraits, know exactly what to leave out, so that what remains can be felt, not just seen.

Every texture, every line, every shadow in this room exists for a reason: to hold space for whoever walks through the door, and to remind them that here, they are free to simply be.

Every studio has a space that defines it. This one is ours.
We call it The Signature, home to our Signature Series, and the name isn't an accident, it's a promise.
Before a single portrait is taken, this space is blank, waiting, full of possibility, stripped of anything that could pull focus away from what matters most.

The black background wasn't chosen for simplicity's sake, it was a deliberate act of restraint, shaped by years of travel, and a belief that the best art often says the most by showing the least. What's created here isn't just a photograph, it's a piece of art, painted not with color, but with light, shadow, and presence. And like any true signature, it's instantly recognizable, because there's only one of you, and it shows in every frame.

Every story deserves a space built to hold it. Curated with conversation in mind, this is where unique people from around the world sit down and are given the room to simply be, to speak their truth, and be heard exactly as they are. It's here that IMX Podcast, short for I Am Exclusv Podcast, was born. I am that, I am, spoken here, out loud.
A good story deserves the same care as a good portrait, thoughtful, unhurried, honest. Every episode, from first word to final cut, carries that same devotion to craft.

Not every gallery has walls.

Ours began on the road, shot alongside dancers and movement artists across Canada, Thailand, Japan, France, Italy, and throughout America.

Those travels, and those connections, became I Am Exclusv's first movement arts exhibition in 2023, a collection of prints featuring dancers of every style from around the world, each frame shaped by the culture and environment it was found in.

The Lounge was designed for exactly that, a space where the pace slows down, and the pressure to perform in front of a camera fades away entirely. Comfortable seating, warm light, and quiet enough to actually hear the person across from you.

This is where conversations happen before they ever reach the mic, and connections form long before a shutter clicks.

Whether you're settling in before a session, unwinding after one, or simply passing through, The Lounge is always ready with a cup of tea or coffee, and a moment to just be. Because sometimes, the most honest moments happen when no one's watching at all.
